（1）向顾客提供帮助：

May ／Can I help you？
（2）提出需求：

Let me have．．．kilo ／box etc，please．
（3）询问数量、样式、颜色、尺寸等：
How many ／much do you want？
What colour ／size ／kind do you want？
（4）挑选：
Do you have any other kind ／size ／colour，etc．？
Could I try it on？
18．问路及应答 Asking the way and responses
（1）向别人询问道路及怎样到达：
Excuse me，is there a post office near here？
Excuse me，can you tell me the way to the shopping centre，please？
Excuse me，how can I get to the nearest hospital，please？I don't know the way．
I want to go to the park，where is it，could you show me the way，please？
What street is this？
（2）向别人指路：
Go down ／along this street．
Walk along this road and turn right at the traffic lights．
You can't miss it．
You can't find the museum on the left．
Walk on，it's about 100 metres along the road from here．
It's about five minutes'walk．
19．问时间或日期和应答 Asking the time or date and responses
（1）询问时间或日期：
What day is（it）today？
What's the date today？
What time is it？
How long did it last？
When were you born？
（2）对时间或日期的回答：
It's Monday ／Tuesday ／．．．
It's September 10．
It's seven o'clock ／half past seven．
It's time for ／to．．．
20．请求 Requests
（1）向他人请求许可：
Can ／could you buy some fruit for me，please？
Will ／Would you please ．．．？
Would you please not do this？
Excuse me，may I have a look at your picture，please？
May I come in，please？
Could I borrow ／use your eraser，please？
（2）请求帮助或做某些事情的：
Please give ／pass me．．．
Please wait here（for a moment）．
Please wait for your turn．
Please stand in line ／line up．
Please hurry ／hurry up ／be quick．
（3）同意帮助对方，或表示应允：
Well，of course．／I'll be glad to．／I'd love ／like to．
（4）委婉地回绝别人的请求：
Sorry，it can't be done．／Sorry，I can't help you．
I'm sorry，but．．．／You'd better not．／No way，I'm afraid．
（5）表示不允许对方作某事时的用语：
Don't rush ／crowd．／No noise，please．／No smoking，please．
21．劝告和建议 Advice and suggestions
（1）向对方提出劝告，着重于为对方着想，替对方出主意、想办法：
You'd better catch ／take a bus．／You'd better not go out at night．／ You should say sorry to her．／You mustn't drink too much before driving．
（2）向对方提出建议：
Shall we play football tomorrow afternoon？／Let's have a look at it．／ What about this GREen one？／How about having a rest？I feel tired．
22．禁止和警告 Prohibition and warnings
（1）制止对方做某事：
You can't swim in the sea．／You mustn't sit down．
（2）向对方提出警告：
Take care！／Be careful！／Look out！／Don't lose your head！
23．表示感情 Expressing certain emotions
（1）表示喜悦和高兴：
I'm glad to ／pleased ／happy to．．．／That's nice．／That's wonderful ／ GREat．／That's good news．
（2）表示焦虑和担忧：
What's wrong？／What's the matter with you？／I'm／He's／She's worried．／Oh，what shall we ／I do？
（3）表示惊讶：
Really？／Oh，dear！／Is that so？
（4）表示赞叹：
Oh，good．／GREat！／Wonderful！
24．就餐 Taking meals
（1）What would you like to have？
What about something to eat？
Would you like something to drink？
Would you like another one？
Another piece of bread，please？
（2）I'd like a bottle of orange juice．
Have one，please．
Help yourself ／yourselves to ．．．
Thank you．I've had enough．
I am full！
25．约会 Making appointments
（1）向对方提出约会或确定约会时间：
Are you free tomorrow？
How about four o'clock this afternoon？
Where are we going to meet？
I'd like to see you at nine tomorrow morning．
（2）表示赞同：
Yes，that's all right．
Yes，I'll be free then．
（3）谢绝约会：
No，I won't be free，then．But I'll be free．．．
Sorry，I'll be busy this morning ／afternoon ／evening．
26．传递信息 Passing on a message
（1）请求对方向某人、单位传递信息：
Will you please give this note ／message to．．．？
（2）自愿向某人传递信息：
Any message for him？／I'll give her the message．
（3）感谢别人传递的信息：
Thanks for the message．
