短文理解听力题所听材料为一篇短文，要求我们根据该短文内容解答相关的五个问题。

题型特点：
这两类题所提供的听力材料多为比教材内容略浅的短文，只是问题出现的形式不同，题型一的问题是以选择填空形式出现的，问题出现在试卷上，而题型二的问题是问句，且出现在听力材料中。
解题技巧：
听音前应注意阅读所给问题及选项，并能根据选项预测短文内容，判断文章的大致意思，为听音和解题做好心理上的准备。听音时应根据问题抓住材料中的关键性词语或句子，并注意简略地加以记录，在听完短文后再对相关信息加以归纳、综合和判断，从而理解文章大意，抓住文章的主体内容和部分细节，最终达到确定出正确答案的效果。如题例一第1小题要求我们解决的问题是Li Hua在学校有几个好朋友，听音前预读问题，带着问题去听音，听音过程中抓住关键句I have two good friends at school．问题是不难解出的。题例二的问题出现在听力材料中，只有当短文听完后问题才可出现，听音前我们仍应预读选项，从选项中推测出问题，并在听音过程中注意记录主要信息。如第2小题从所给选项中推测出此题可能问的问题是什么，也许涉及某人的兴趣爱好，听音时注意记录并对各选项进行对比，从而选出答案。第3小题的问题是在Jim的班上有多少名学生，此题必须抓住文中的关键句：In Jim's class there are eighteen boy students and twenty-two girl students．问题才能得到解决，其中涉及了简单的数学计算。
