I am often told“I will do this work tomorrow．There is much time tomorrow．If we put off（推迟）our work of today till tomorrow and tomorrow's till the day after tomorrow，then nothing will be finished in the end．

I think such a maxim（格言）as“Today's work must be done today” must be well known to everyone．But some young friends may ask，“Why should we finish our work today？Is not the result the same if we do it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow？”

You must know that we have some certain work to do today and still we have some other work to do tomorrow．If we put off the work of today， we might put off the work of tomorrow．If we leave the maths exercises of today till tomorrow，we may put off the exercises of tomorrow till the day after tomorrow．Since it is so，why shouldn't we finish them today then？
