Respectable judges and teachers，dear fellow students， I'm very honored to give a speech here．Today，the title of my speech is“Learn to Compete”．
In the same school，we learn the same courses，we have the same teachers；in the same workshop，there are the same tasks，same equipment；on the same playground，there is only one starting line，only one starting whistle．．．But there emerged so many good students，good workers and good players under the same conditions．What do they depend on to be excellent and different from their rank？Someone may say，“They are more talented．”We can't ignore this point，but after all，this is only the minority．Didn't someone once say，“Talent is 99％ diligence plus 1％ inspiration”．In my opinion，the most important point is their competitive spirit and hard work．
Competition is not satisfied with the present situation to develop one's intelligence sufficiently．The competition in modern times is becoming stiffer and stiffer．This is the certain trend of society．In the big ocean of competition，we must strengthen the sense of competition，increase the actual strength of competition， and improve our quality．
To learn to compete，you must dare to reveal your disadvantage and not to be inferior．American president Roosevelt suffered from infantile paralysis．He wheezed when speaking，his voice was so weak that no one could even hear him clearly．But he was not inferior．When other people took part in all kinds of social activities，he also took part in them，in order to show that he was a strong person of life．Whatever it is，he would compete with others．Because of these reason，he became a famous president in American history．Suppose if Roosevelt dare not face reality，dared not compete with others，could he achieve such a GREat success？
Learn to compete，it requires us to face frustration in a correct way，stand up again when we fall down．Like the Haier Company，it always gains experiences，it takes frustration as wealth．Because of this reason，Haier Company has covered the entire world in the competition．
Competition has bred a number of excellent new competitors and GREatly promoted the development of economy and science technique．So，let's keep the spirit of competition forever！
