翟志刚身上所穿的中国自行研制的第一套“飞天”舱外航天服，也首次在茫茫太空中“亮相”。
预计这次出舱活动从打开舱门算起，到关上舱门需要半小时到四十分钟左右，航天员在舱外活动二十分钟左右。
翟志刚在这次出舱活动中，会取回放置在轨道舱外壁上的固体润滑材料。
