这套手势由中央文明办、教育部、北京奥组委和中央电视台联合设计推出。
在整个奥运会期间，这套手势将为所有的运动员加油助威。
在昨天的推出仪式上，几十名北京奥运拉拉队的志愿者们高呼“奥运加油，中国加油”的口号，展示了这套文明助威手势。
整个手势分四步完成，第一步鼓掌两次，并喊口号“奥运”；第二步为两手竖起大拇指，喊口号“加油”；第三步鼓掌两次，喊“中国”；最后一步双手握拳伸展双臂，大喊“加油”！

适合助威所有运动员
设计手势的专家、北京礼仪学院院长李柠在昨天的仪式上介绍，在手势统一的前提下，口号又可灵活多变，既可以是“奥运加油、中国加油”，也可以是“中国加油、姚明加油”、“巴西加油、小罗加油”等，适合给每一个参赛国、每一个参赛运动员助威加油。
她说，“奥运加油、中国加油”赛场文明手势体现了更快、更高、更强的奥运精神，符合国际通用加油手势原则，同时兼具中国文化特色。整个手势动作和呐喊声合二为一、协调流畅。
【普及推广】
80万学生观众将培训
该手势将通过电视、海报等形式进行推广。
此外，教育部将在全国各大、中、小学校进行推广，特别是对进入奥运赛场观看比赛的80万学生观众，进行统一培训普及。
奥运会、残奥会期间，在各项比赛前以及比赛间隙，将现场播放文明手势宣传片，并安排448名引导员志愿者在比赛现场引导现场观众用手势给各国运动员加油。
