The city of London only covers 1.6 square kilometres of land. It has more than 2,000 years of history and has always been the capital for the country and the formal home for the royal family. GREater London maybe divided into different areas: Central London, West London, East London and South London, the port region and the suburb and so on. Each area has its own characteristic. There are altogether 28 bridges across the river and link the two banks together. The most beautiful and attractive bridge is the London Tower Bridge. The design is unique and both two giant bridge piers are 5 floors buildings. The top layers of the double tower are linked by a 140 meters long pedestrian bridge.
London is the city that combines old and new together. On one side, there are studded with palaces, court gardens and ancient buildings.
