英语中的词可以根据词义、句法作用和形式特征分十大词类，现列表如下：

　　要学好英语，分清词类是很重要的。在英语中很多词是兼类词，如other既是代词，又是形容词和副词，要孤立地记住它的词性是很困难的，只有通过学习句子或短语，才能区别开来。如：
