对求职者来说,面试已经是一件不容易的事情!如果需要面临“英语面试”,难度更是加倍!事实上,许多求职者原本英文能力还不错,但是只要碰到英语面试,由于紧张的关系,表现也不免大打折扣。其实,如果准备充分,你定能在“英语面试”中脱颖而出。
见面后要亲切问候
求职者带给面试官的第一印象一定要落落大方,见面后一定要亲切问候。通常面试官的桌上会有名牌,如果面试官姓李,求职者可以从“Good morning, Mr. Lee”开始,拉近两人的距离。当面试官问求职者:“How are you?” 求职者可以回答:“Couldn't be better!”显示出个人“愉悦的人格属性”。 面试官除了关心求职者的学历及经验(这些可以从简历表来观察)之外,面试官还会考核求职者的“个性”及“态度”。这时,建议求职者以“2S1H”来表达自己的个性。“2S 1H”中,S是“Serious”,H是“Humorous”的意思。求职者可以说自己的个性是:Diligent, logical and happy. Diligent,和logical,是属于严肃的描述;happy是属于幽默感的描述。但是,在表情上要搭配得宜,例如,说自己是个happy的人的时候,表情也应该是微笑的。如何掌握准确的表情,有赖于对自己性格的了解。
自我介绍重点突出
企业一般在招聘时有些什么要求呢?求职者工作的长度、所负责的职务内容描述、能运用的技能(例如英语及电脑或某种专业)等等,这些都是面试官最关心的内容。面试的时间有限,求职者必须先掌握企业的要求,做好符合条件内容的陈述。
许多求职者在自传中,花了很多版面描述家庭状况;或是当面试官要求做自我介绍时,求职者没有掌握重点,拉拉杂杂说了一堆。这时,即使求职者英文程度不错,冗长无意义的赘述,也会让面试官不耐烦。在有限的面试时间里,求职者要掌握诉求的重点,并以逻辑的方式,一一道出企业所需要知道的信息。
对应陈述准备充分
在英语面试时,面试官经常会要求职者做“英语自我介绍”。一般在陈述的第一段,求职者要呈现出与职务目标相关的学识和技能;第二段,要表达过去的经历和个人专长;第三段,表达求职者的学习精神,和“恳请给予面试机会”的意愿。在英语面试时,求职者很可能被问到某种并不擅长的技能,或缺乏某种经验的项目时,这时,面对面试官的质疑,求职者也有方法可以安然度过。1. 承认面试官提出的问题。2. 举出曾经历过的具体的经验及教训。3. 提出具体改善的方法。4. 强调自己学习力极强,表示自己可以很快迎头赶上。承认面试官提出的问题,可以“避免”求职者露出“反对面试官”的态度。求职者马上“反对面试官”,是绝对没有好处的。举出曾经历过的具体的经验及教训,以及提出具体改善的方法,则可以将过去的成绩具体化。最后,强调自己学习力极强,表示自己可以很快迎头赶上,则是化解面试官的疑虑。这样一来,求职者可以马上化弱点为优点。
面试结束,有礼有节
当结束了面试,求职者要表达胜不骄、败不馁的态度。求职者即使感到自己表现不是非常好,也可以用幽默感及好的态度为自己加分。例如,离场时,求职者可以说:Thank you very much. I hope we can see each other very soon.求职者必须以正面的态度结束这个面试,千万别露出沮丧担心的表情。这样做,至少可以让面试官感受你正面积极的态度及不慌不忙的成熟个性。

Know something about the organization you are applying to. (了解一些你申请工作单位的情况)
Dress properly. Don't shake hand with the interviewer until he/she extends his/her hand. (穿着要得体,人家伸手时才握手。)
Don't sit down until invited to do so by the interviewer. (人家未请,先坐下。)
Make eye-contact with the interviewer during the interview. (面试时,眼睛要看着对方。)
