    So Steve told him this story about little Sandra．

    Mr Barker had a surprise for his family．He took them out for their Sunday dinner．But Sandra had a surprise for the family，too．Suddenly she jumped up from the table．She ran to an old man who sat near her．Smiling at him，she took his hand．How surprised he was！“I'm so glad to see you！”Sandra said．“Well，I'm glad to see you，too．”the old man said．“You are wearing nice new clothes today．”Sandra went on．“Thank you，”the old man said．Sandra touched his long white beard．Then she kissed his hand．

    “I think about you often，”she said．The old man looked pleased．So did Sandra．

    At last，she came back to her family，“Who is your friend？”Mrs Barker asked her．

    Sandra's eyes opened wide．“Don't you know？”she asked．“He is Santa Claus！I knew him at once．But this is the first time I have seen him in summer．In all my life，this is the very first time！”

    Dan laughed at Steve's story．

    “My little sister sometimes supprises us，too．”he said．“I guess she is more fun than trouble，after all．”Steve smiled，then he said，“so is Sandra！”
